Service:

Funeral Service Monday August 7 with in state visitation from 9:00am until time of service at 10:00am at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Home, 500 W. Nine Mile, Ferndale. Interment at Roseland Park Cemetery.

Dorothy Ina Schoeffler, age 102, of Oak Park, died on Wednesday August 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Charlton (Carl) Schoeffler. Loving mother to Margaret (Pierre) Periard and the late Stanley Schoeffler. Dear sister to the late Evelyn Abbot. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday August 6 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Mrs. Shoeffler was my favorite neighbor when I was a little girl (Karen). I would cross the street and visit with her. She made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cut in triangles, with butter on the jelly side! I so loved visiting with her and her parakeet. My mom (Betty Oliver) continued to bring Christmas goodies to her every Christmas until recently. She was a vibrant, sparkling person and we loved her so much.

We received her card and the beautiful flowers for my mom's (Betty) birthday last week. She so appreciated the kindness your family has always shown.
