Claire Marie LeVasseur, age 89, of Ferndale, Michigan passed away on July 10, 2026 at Corewell Health Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. She was born on January 8, 1937 in Norwood, Ohio to Alexander and Wanda Hutton.

Beloved wife of the late Roland LeVasseur. Dear mother of Susan (Ken) Keener, Cynthia (the late Harry) Stamps. She was preceded in death by her son Richard LeVasseur. Claire is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Tree-LeVasseur-Barncard (Neal). Cherished grandmother of Kelly, Christopher (Mary), Colin (Amanda), Scarlett (Theos) Eros, Chad LeVasseur, Katie, Andi, Alex, Marissa JoAnn (Zach) Yskes, Heather LeVasseur, Heather Keller, Stacy Williams and Sheri De Hesselle. Great-grandmother of Tamsyn, Finn, Niall, Leighton, Brooks, Calvin, Hudson, Nova Jade Eros, Ever North Eros, Saint Mateo Eros. Sister of Dale (Kathy) Yearkey. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Claire found great pleasure in gardening and tending to her flowers but her greatest joy was her family. She was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church and volunteered her time at the Zion food pantry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16^th from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Home, 500 W 9 Mile Road, Ferndale, MI . Funeral Service will take place at Zion Lutheran Church, 143 Albany, Ferndale, MI on Friday, July 17^th at 11:00 AM.
