Lohmeier, Alvin S., 96, of Ferndale, November 27, 2011. Predeceased by first wife, Berniece and survived by their children, Kenneth, Dennis, Kathleen Hurtibise and Elaine, 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Mr. Lohmeier was a member of St. James Church in Ferndale where he was very active in the Ushers Club, St. Vincent de Paul and the school athletic department. He enjoyed splitting his time between Clearwater, Florida and Ferndale with his second wife, Lorraine, who preceded him in death. Also survived by stepchildren, David, Carmen (Joseph Himmel), Patti (Bob) Squire, the late Steven Collins and 2 step grandchildren.
